New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on June 24, 2022) follows:

Even though Spotify continues to dominate the music streaming service niche with more than 31% of the total market share in 2021, its nearest rival, Apple Music continues to grow at an impressive pace.

That said, in the last few weeks, users have faced bugs and glitches such as the Windows app crashing at login and during playback and Google Assistant unable to play specific songs.

While Spotify developers seem to be working hard to fix the aforementioned issues, many iOS users are missing the download audio quality options(1,2,3).

This is causing a lot of frustration since the bug is preventing them from downloading music in their preferred audio quality.

Reinstalling the app doesn’t seem to help either. You can see in the image below what the options look like for those affected.

@SpotifyCares Hi, so, my Spotify app has a problem. The choice for different download quality don’t show after last update 😅

I deleted and re downloaded my Spotify app last night, when I downloaded the app again I noticed that text was missing under the audio quality ‘download’ section and video quality section. Anyone else had this issue and is there a fix for this or will this be addressed in an update?
