[Updated] Rumble down, not working, or throwing '500 Service Unavailable' error? You're not alone

Founded in October of 2013, Rumble is an online video platform with more than 150 million monthly users.

It is popular among content creators because it is easier for them to earn money compared to other platforms like YouTube and Vimeo. Some of Rumble’s partners include MTV, Yahoo, Xbox, and others.

That said, recent reports from Rumble users suggest that the service is down or not working at the moment (1,2,3,4,5).

Many are getting a ‘500 Service Unavailable’ error while those trying to access via the app are getting an ‘API error. The service is currently unavailable’ error message.

A bunch of users tried accessing Rumble using different proxies but looks like that isn’t helping either. You can see in the image below the error message users are getting when trying to visit the website.

Many are expressing their frustration on social media platforms like Twitter. Here are some reports from Rumble users for whom the service is down or not working.

Anyone know what’s wrong with @rumblevideo? And I’ll take any advice on how to deal with this website/app. I’ve never seen something so glitchy and awful 9/10 times I try to use it. I would love to get rid of YouTube but they are the best there is by far no comparison.

i just found out that rumble is down…how long has it been down y did they take rumble down before tomorrow dangit…i wonder how long its been down today….if it will be back up tomorrow highly unlikely huh how long has it been down now?!

Unfortunately, we are yet to come across any official word on the matter. We hope the developers soon find out the root cause of the problem and fix it at the earliest so users can watch videos again.

12:15 pm (IST): Many users have taken to Twitter (1, 2) to report that Rumble is currently down or not working for them.

Luckily, Rumble support has acknowledged the issue and said that they are investigating it.

07:02 pm (IST): Rumble support has confirmed that the recent outage with their service has now been resolved.

Some are also getting the ‘500 Service Unavailable’ error when trying to access the website.

Tried to watch War Room on Rumble, and it said 500, service unavailable? Don’t tell me they took Steve BANNON down!

10:20 am (IST): Rumble users can now access the content of the platform again as the issue was resolved.

09:09 am (IST): Multiple reports on Twitter (1, 2, 3, 4) suggest that Rumble is currently down or not working for a section of users.

05:42 pm (IST): The recent issue appears to have been fixed as there aren’t any widespread reports for the same.
