If you happen to be a crypto enthusiast, you must have heard about Coinbase. Founded in 2012, the platform has more than 98 million verified users and is available in more than 100 countries.

Coinbase also happens to be one of the most popular crypto trading platforms in the United States, generating a revenue of more than $4.03 billion in the first half of 2021.

However, the last few months have been really tough for those trading on the platform. Users have complained about several issues such as BTC transaction to Taproot addresses stuck at pending and some unable to buy or sell crypto.

Adding to the trouble, many users seem to be getting a ‘Connection trouble’ message when trying to use the Coinbase app and website (1,2,3,4,5).

While the problem seems to have started a couple of hours ago, others have been seeing the error message for days now. The issue seems to be frustrating for a lot of users since they are unable to buy and sell crypto on time.

@CoinbaseSupport what gives? Been getting this error for days…whats going on?..doesnt matter what i try to buy or my location or computer (tried multiple, home and work) Connection trouble. We’re working on a fix. Please try again later.

Why does your app sck and does not work right it hasn’t worked right for months now what is being done to fix this it constantly has connection issues no matter what and does not execute trades on time and is not in real time it’s about a minute delay

That said, Coinbase Support shed some light on the matter and said the developers are aware of the ‘Connection trouble’ issue and are working on a fix. But they did not share any timeframe on when it will be resolved.

Hi! Our team is aware of connectivity issues on http://Coinbase.com web and mobile. Rest assured we’ve got all hands on deck to ensure full service is restored ASAP. Feel free to keep an eye on this page for updates! https://twitter.com/CoinbaseSupport/status/1540033387183968256 ^KB

We hope Coinbase developers figure out why so many users are getting the ‘Connection trouble’ message and fix it as soon as they can.

As always, we will be keeping tabs on the issue and update this space when we come across more information so make sure you stay tuned.
