Pictures play a significant part in someone’s life. They connect them to their past through the recollection of some of their great memories.

Google Photos is a terrific photo and video storage solution. It is home to thousands of pictures and helps store, organize and manage the photos, along with several editing tools.

There are times when you click a picture and don’t get the desired perspective that you are looking for. Sometimes the top of the image appears smaller as it is away from the phone, and the bottom seems bigger as it is nearer to you.

To tackle this situation, Google Photos has a built-in tool to adjust the angle of your pictures and make them symmetrical.

Although, you must be familiar with cropping, adjusting brightness, and rotating tools. But the perspective tool acts as a skew which slightly rotates the images three-dimensionally to bring them into an accurate symmetry.

So, this article will walk you through the steps to adjust perspectives of photos on your Android and iOS devices.

Note: For the perspective tool, you need to have an updated version of Google Photos and this method will work on Android as well as iOS devices.

How to adjust the perspective in Google Photos

The steps to adjust perspectives of images in Google Photos are as follows:

  • Open the Google Photos app
  • Select the image you want to edit
  • Tap the edit button, which is beneath the picture
  • Tap the crop tool
  • Press the trapezoid perspective icon
  • Drag the four corners of the box to set the perspective of your image
  • Click the preview button to see if the photo is adjusted as per your requirement
  • If satisfied with adjustments, tap the save button.

Click/tap to enlarge images

After this, the picture will be automatically saved and can be shared with other people as well. This is a very nifty and straightforward tool which you can choose and make your photos look the way you want.
