Steam is one of the most successful video game platforms in the world. Millions of users trust it as their favorite title store thanks to the great variety in its catalog, continuous offers and good customer service.

Steam’s original goal was simply to offer automatic updates to Valve games. But, after a while, the platform also offered full games, both its own and those of third parties.

The games purchased through Steam are all gathered in the Steam launcher, through which the user has easy access to all of them.

The platform also has many useful features for gamers. There are achievement systems, hours played counter, cloud save system, and there is also the possibility of returning games if they did not meet your expectations.

However, according to multiple reports, currently many Steam users are unable to access their accounts as the platform’s servers are down or not working.

The Steam server crash prevents users from being able to access the website. So, users are currently unable to access their catalog of purchased games to manage them.

Additionally, the issue on Steam servers also prevents users from running games through the Steam launcher.

According to reports, the platform servers issue have lasted at least half an hour (at the time of writing this story).

The DownDetector platform also reflects the issue on servers.

But, at the moment there is no official acknowledgment on the issue from the support team. So, the affected players still do not know when they will be able to access their accounts and play games normally again.

We will update this story as events on the matter unfold.

06:37 pm (IST): Lack of reports suggest that that recent issue with Steam has now been fixed.

08:55 am (IST): Fortunately, the server issues that are affecting the Steam platform have already been fixed.
