Destiny 2 players getting Sunset Horror's Least pulse rifle on latest Nightfall event, issue acknowledged

destiny 2, the pseudo-MMO shooter developed by Bungie, is a ‘game as a service’ which you can currently access for free.

Previously, Destiny 2 was a paid game. Now, the business model of the game is based entirely on in-game purchases.

To keep Destiny 2 players interested, Bungie is constantly sending out new events. Currently, the Nightfall event is taking place.

However, there is an issue related to the event loot. More specifically, Destiny 2 players are getting the old Sunset Horror’s Least pulse rifle instead of the new Nightfall version of the weapon.

According to multiple reports, Destiny 2 players are receiving an old version of Sunset Horror’s Least pulse rifle, and not the version they should be receiving during the Nightfall event.

Instead of getting the ‘Nightfall’ version, Destiny 2 players get the Sunset Horror’s Least pulse rifle, an earlier model that was given in a past event.

I’m a little confused, completed the nightfall and got a Horror’s least (forsaken pulse rifle) that has the little white corner, meaning it’s light capped.

So what’s the point of it being in the loot pool, has it always been like that? I just feel really unlucky with this NF already lol.

Horror’s Least dropping as sunset?

I’ve only gotten one to drop, but when it did it was the sunset version of the weapon from Forsaken. Maybe the coding messed up and is dropping the wrong loot. Is anyone else having this problem?

There are a couple of key differences between the Sunset Horror’s Least pulse rifle and the Nightfall Horror’s Least pulse rifle. First, the new version is aesthetically different thanks to a new skin.

The other difference is the most important for gameplay as it is related to the damage that the rifle can inflict. ‘Sunset’ is ‘capped’ to just 1350 of maximum power, and players cannot upgrade it beyond that point.

Yeah I got one it’s a 1350 Legacy Version of the Horror’s Least Pulse rifle with Head seeker and Dragonfly along with stability mods..4hrs of trying to get that thing to drop seriously? NOT COOL. Just send Everyone a Free One to make up for this screw up, even if it’s the same.

The Bungie team is already aware of the issue and is investigating. But, there are no details on an ETA for a fix yet.
