In a world where people quickly get bored, Destiny 2 is one of the few titles that has managed to retain its playerbase even five years after its release. Developed and published by Bungie, the gaming studio was recently bought by Sony.

But as is the case with frequently updated games, players often encounter bugs and glitches. That said, many recently complained about the endless Transmat incoming issue while others said they cannot buy Solar 3.0 fragments.

And while the aforementioned issues still continue to trouble many, Destiny 2 players are now saying that Jorum’s Howl Triumph (1,2,3,4,5) and Forging Iron (1,2,3,4,5) quests are not progressing.

Many are frustrated and wondering why Bungie messes up when it comes to challenges and quest completion. Common troubleshooting solutions such as restarting the game, verifying game files via Steam, and reinstalling seem to be making no difference.

Here are some reports from Destiny 2 players who say the Forging Iron and Jorum’s Howl Triumph iron banner quest are not progressing as they should.

Iron banner quest glitched? So I’m on step 5 of 6 on the “forging iron” iron banner quest. And I’ve been stuck at 70% progress. Where it asks you to complete iron banner matches with gear but I’ve had an iron banner helmet on this whole time and I’ve even tested it. I’m still stuck at 70%. Wha happen?

Jorum’s Howl bugged. I am running 5 of 5 ib gear, it shows on matchmaking screen, but no progress to seal triumph? Will my matches completed with gear be retroactive? Or am i just not going to get any progress for this triumph until a patch is made?

Thankfully, Bungie Help shed some light on the problem and said Destiny 2 developers are aware of the issue where Jorum’s Howl Triumph and Forging Iron quests are not progressing for some.

They also shared a workaround that involves not wearing more than 5 iron banner armor pieces including iron banner ornaments.

We’re investigating an issue where players aren’t getting credit for the Jorum’s Howl Triumph or the Forging Iron quest in Iron Banner. We’ve determined that credit won’t count if wearing more than 5 IB armor pieces, which can be caused by wearing IB ornaments on top of IB armor

Let us hope Bungie soon finds out why some are unable to progress and releases a hotfix that resolves the issue. Until then, we will be keeping track of further developments on the matter and update this space as and when required so stay tuned.
