No Man's Sky crashing on PlayStation & Xbox after Leviathan update

Developed by Hello Games, No Man’s Sky originally came out in 2016 as a game of exploring, building and looting throughout outer space.

Although at first it received a lot of criticism for broken promises, successive updates made No Man’s Sky the game that was promised from the very beginning.

Also, No Man’s Sky players often receive new content for free as compensation. The game currently has versions for Windows OS devices and PlayStation/Xbox consoles (both current and previous generation).

‘Leviathan’ is the most recent No Man’s Sky update. It brings multiple changes and new features, but it also seems to have brought an annoying crashing issue for players on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

According to multiple reports, No Man’s Sky is crashing suddenly and constantly after latest Leviathan update (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10).

In some cases, the problem can happen during exploration, when trying to land or leave a planet.

When ever I try going to my base and saving it crashes my game it won’t stop I already tried uninstalling it and installing it again but that won’t work neither so I don’t know what to do now and I think my save could be corrupt but I can’t tell if it has or not so is there a way I can fix this?

Loading expedition save crashes game (PS5)

First, I have already submitted a bug report to Hello Games, so I don’t need a reminder for that.

I want to know if anyone else has experienced this issue. I started the expedition, played a total of 3.5 hours over a couple days, made a fair bit of progress, and now whenever I try to load my expedition save it crashes the game 100% of the time during the galaxy map title loading screen.

All my other saves load without issue; this only happens on the expedition save.

Some reports suggest that similar problems (crashing) have occurred before. However, it is now much more consistent after the No Man’s Sky Leviathan update.

Keeps crashing, ever since the update and the new expedition

I stopped playing NMS for a while because of crashes and such. I only recently got back into it before the new expedition. I got my own settlement and enjoyed having more pets. Sadly with the new update and expedition. NMS won’t stop crashing. I haven’t started the expedition. I am only playing my main save. I can’t go through a portal, use the galaxy map or even land on a planet without the game crashing.

There is no official acknowledgment of the issue from the Hello Games team yet. However, some reports suggest that there is a fix for the problem in the latest No Man’s Sky experimental update.
