Part of the Lloyds Banking Group, Bank of Scotland is a commercial bank based out of Scotland. It was established by the Parliament of Scotland and is the fifth oldest bank in the U.K.

In 2020, the bank generated revenue of somewhere around $16.23 billion. It also has an app that allows easy access to your account and several other features.

However, Bank of Scotland users are now reporting that the app and website are down or not working for them. The problem is causing inconvenience and frustration to many since people are unable to access their funds and complete transactions.

Down detector – a popular service that gives information about live outages – has hundreds of reports indicating Bank of Scotland is indeed down for many.

Below are some reports from Bank of Scotland customers who are unable to access their accounts using the app or website.

@BankofScotland any idea when system will be up? Perhaps update Twitter…Waiting at garage to collect car and can’t leave without paying. Cheers!

Unfortunately, we are yet come across any official word on the matter.

06:21 pm (IST): Bank of Scotland has confirmed on Twitter that the recent outage with their website and app has now been resolved.

12:01 pm (IST): Some Bank of Scotland users are reporting that the app and website are down or not working (1,2,3).

06:35 pm (IST): The recent outage has been resolved.
