[Updated] Lost Ark 'unable to hone' & 'missing affection levels with Sasha & Ealyn' after latest patch, issues officially acknowledged

Lost Ark is a popular MMO born in South Korea and brought to the global market by Amazon Games.

Lost Ark offers a vast world, an A-RPG combat system, and hundreds of things to do and discover. Also, it’s a free-to-play game, so you can try it without spending anything.

However, currently the game is experiencing a couple of annoying issues after its most recent patch.

According to multiple reports, many Lost Ark players are unable to hone their gear. Also, affection levels with Sasha and Ealyn characters are missing.

‘Honing’ is the process through which Lost Ark players upgrade their weapons and equipment. The process has a rate of success that will be defined by some items (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

But, currently, most of the honing attempts that players make are unsuccessful (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

Honing not working on characters with Super Express Mission.

Honing on my T3 char that has the super express mission active always fails but consumes no materials. In the Honing menu it shows a yellow text “No welcome boost Information”

People in Area chat report the same issue.

It seems that Lost Ark players in server zone 1415 are the most affected by the problem. Servers from areas like Korea and Russia currently enjoy much higher honing rates.

The new event rewards are a complete joke, don’t even bother updating if you aren’t 1415, just uninstall

If you clear out the entire shop, one week of the event gets you enough for 1 or 2 honing attempts that will most likely fail. It takes several hundred attempts to push 1370->1415. So the new content is still very much out of reach for non whales/no-lifers.

In Korea and Russia their honing rates are much higher and their events are far more generous.

Lost Ark also offers ‘friendship’ mechanics with multiple NPCs scattered around the map. Sasha and Ealyn are two of the characters with which players can increase their ‘affection levels’.

Affection levels allow players to gain certain perks or benefits, according to the character with whom the players interact the most (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

But, according to reports, the Sasha and Ealyn affection levels are missing after the latest patch (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7).

No more simp rapport levels

Hey so I finished off Sasha’s trusted rapport last night and was surprised to not be able to push it further.

Checked it out and sure enough the affection rapport level is no longer there for either her or Ealyn. Anyone know why this is? Bug or intended?

Were the rapport changes in patch notes?

I’ve been workin on sasha for the giants heart and noticed she lost the affection tier today. is this something that was removed from other versions as well or just us? little disappointed i didnt get the last gold reward.

Lost Ark developers are already aware of both issues and are working on resolving them. However, there is no ETA for a fix yet.

Our team is aware of the issues surrounding the inability to hone and the missing affection levels with Sasha and Ealyn.
