New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on May 20, 2022) follows:

A spin-off in the celebrated Borderlands series, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is an action RPG title developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games.

While the theme and the universe are the same as Borderlands, there are significant changes compared to the aforementioned title.

But in the last few months, issues such as being unable to join or invite friends in co-op and Chaos level not increasing have troubled many.

That said, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands players are saying their story progress is resetting or broken (1,2,3). Many are seemingly angry and frustrated because of the problem.

Apparently, reinstalling the game and restarting the system isn’t helping either. Below are some reports from Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands players complaining about story progress resetting.

Story progress reset today but kept everything else
Got the update today on xbox and my story has reset to the epilogue, I’ve also lost the ability to teleport anywhere but I still have my level, myth ranks, full map is uncovered, still have my weapons and slot upgrades, also still have all my collectibles. It’s so strange, anyone know of a way to fix this? I tried deleting my save from console only and forced it to sync to the cloud but still having the same issue

Today when I went in to play my main character(max chaos, 150+ myth) instead of bringing me to where I left off, it instead restarted the game back at the beginning of the main story line. As well, I still have all my loot, rank, skills, hero points, etc etc. I decided screw it i’ll replay it again just for fun, but I quit after going to duskwood, and when I continued, it once again brought me to the start. this is my life now? How can I fix this so I can play my friggn toon? Thanks in advance!

Thankfully, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands developers have acknowledged the issue and said it is currently under investigation. But there is no ETA on when it will be fixed.

We are aware of reports that some players have lost story progress with the latest update and we’re currently investigating. Thank you for your patience and please stay tuned for updates.

We also came across a possible workaround that might help fix the issue. It involves deleting the current save and replacing it with a recent save game.
