Xbox players unable to access Game Pass via dashboard & Game Pass page, but there're some workarounds
Owned by Microsoft, Xbox is a gaming console brand similar to Sony’s PlayStation. It can be connected to a television or other screens such as a monitor.
In 2020, Xbox released the fourth iteration of their consoles known as Xbox Series X and Series S.
However, Microsoft is trying to expand the brand beyond hardware with the brand now consisting of several games, streaming services, and the Xbox network.
That said, Xbox also offers Game Pass that gives players access to more than 300 games for a monthly fee. Players can download and play several recently released titles such as Dirt 5, Rainbow Six Extraction, and many more.
Players say they are getting a ‘we can’t show Game Pass right now’ error message. Generic troubleshooting solutions such as restarting the consoles and logging out and into Microsoft account aren’t helping either.
You can see in the image below the error message Xbox players are seeing when trying to access Game Pass.

@XboxSupport is there an issue with gamepass? Getting an error saying “we can’t show gamepass right now”
Fortunately, Xbox Support shed some light on the matter and said they are aware of the issue where some Xbox players are unable to access the Game Pass via dashboard or the Game Pass page.
We are aware that some users may be having issues accessing Game Pass games through the Xbox console dashboard and Game Pass page. Please note that all users can still access Game Pass games through My Games and Apps, the Store and also through Search. Check back for updates.
They also shared a workaround that involves accessing the Game Pass through the My Games and Apps, the Store, and using Search.
As it turns out, Xbox Status is also showing that the Store and Subscriptions are having an outage and that the developers are close to resolving the issue.
We hope Microsoft soon finds out the root cause of the problem and fixes the dashboard and the Game Pass page on Xbox. If and when they do, we will be updating this space to reflect the same so make sure you stay tuned for more information.
