New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on May 18, 2022) follows:

Ubisoft launched For Honor in 2017 as a combat game that wanted to be different from the rest.

While in other fighting games the camera is usually 2D and the fights are hectic, For Honor takes a more ‘realistic’ approach.

In For Honor, players must calculate every move they make to emerge victorious. In addition, third-person camera combat offers a greater perspective of what the player has in front.

The game includes various character classes inspired by some that have existed in the real world throughout history. Each class has its strengths and disadvantages in combat.

That said, for a while players have been facing sound related problems. More specifically, there are multiple audio issues that came with a For Honor update from weeks ago, and are still there.

For Honor multiple audio issues

According to reports, For Honor players are experiencing various audio-related issues such as characters without dialogue or having dialogue cut off, absence of the announcer’s voice, and random sound effects.

Also, sometimes there is no music during the menus, and the sound is generally distorted or broken.

Sound glitch

I don’t need if I need video proof but here’s what’s happening. There’s no character dialogue in any of my games and I’ve checked all of the audio options and they are maxed out. It’s not game breaking but it makes the game super blan and unfun to play. Execution kills make no sound as well but I do hear the normal game like normal attacks, minions, and the announcer etc…

Since then, the game has received another update (v2.35.1 on May 11). But, the update changelog doesn’t mention anything about a fix for audio issues, and related reports keep coming up.

However, the Ubisoft team has not forgotten about the problem. In their officially reported bugs, the audio issues after April patch are still tagged as ‘investigating’.
