Original story (published on May 19, 2022) follows:

Released in March of 2020, Call of Duty Warzone is one of the few free-to-play titles in the decades-old franchise. Developed by Raven Software and published by Activision, the game has more than 100 million registered players worldwide.

Apart from the standard Battle Royale mode, Warzone also features a Plunder mode where players have to search for stacks of cash spread throughout the map. The team that gathers the most amount of cash is the winner.

But like other installments in the Call of Duty series, players have complained about various issues such as Stopping power ammunition opening the loadout selection screen and broken Mechanized AS44 blueprint.

That said, the developers started the Kong vs Godzilla event called Operation Monarch a few days ago. But Call of Duty Warzone players are now saying that the Kong finisher throwing distance is shorter.

The finisher seems to be throwing the correct distance when the enemy is prone, but players say it is shorter when trying to throw enemies who are standing or are down.

Some thought it was a one-time issue but soon found out it was not the case. Below are a few reports from Warzone players complaining about the Kong finisher throwing distance.

@RavenSoftware
1. Can we please have a solos or plunder version of operation monarch?
2. Kong’s YEET execution needs to throw them farther.
That’s all my feedback.

lol in the marketing videos they had the operator yeeting enemies back to Verdansk but in the game the toss was weak. I thought it was classic false advertising.

Thankfully, Warzone developers Raven Software have acknowledged the issue and said they are working on a fix.

Players may have noticed that the Kong Finisher throwing distance is much shorter than expected. 🦍 Kong is powerful and enemies should expect to be thrown great distances. 💪 We are investigating a fix!

While they have added the issue to the Warzone Trello board, there is no ETA for when the problem will be fixed.

We hope the developers soon find the reason why the throwing distance is shorter when enemies are standing or downed and fix the problem in an upcoming update.
