[Updated] Apple Watch no sound or haptic feedback alarms issue allegedly under investigation, but you can try this workaround
New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on January 20, 2022) follows:
The Apple Watch Series are one of the best options available in the smartwatch segment. These are loaded with many features and sync perfectly with the ecosystem of Apple devices.
Having said the above, in the last few weeks, users of these devices are suffering from some issues related to sound or notifications (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).
More specifically, there is an annoying bug in the Apple Watch that silences the sound and eliminates the haptic feedback alarms. This can be problematic when users rely on the alarm set on the watch.
Apple Watch no sound or haptic feedback alarms
According to multiple reports, many users are suffering from the same issue on their Apple Watch. Suddenly, the device stops making sounds or providing haptic feedback, which affects the alarm and general notifications.
Watch will sometime not vibrate and have sound on
I’m a fairly new apple watch owner, had mine for about a month. I just started having this problem recently, sometimes my apple watch will randomly stop giving me haptic feedback and sound. The only way I can fix it is by resetting the watch. However, I frankly don’t want to do that every time I get this issue.

Help, series 7 no sound and no vibration after charging
Hi, I’ve been gifted an AW series 7 but I noticed that after charging it, it will not have any sounds or vibrations (water reject does not work). The only solution that I found to work it is to restart it and then it will happen again some days later.

Apple allegedly aware, try this workaround
A user reports that Apple could already be aware of the issue. However, there is still no public acknowledged by the company in this regard, so this has to be officially confirmed.
What’s changed recently is that haptic feedback appears to enter a totally bugged state where it won’t work until the watch is rebooted. No feedback using the timers app or scrolling through the app list.
I was able to send the support team a sysdiagnose with the watch in a bugged state this morning, and I promised to be on their case until this is resolved. Haptic alarms are totally useless until this is fixed.

At the moment, in the absence of an official fix, there is a workaround that helps mitigate the issue. Basically, you have to restart the smartwatch every time it loses sound and haptic feedback.
Finally, if there are new updates on the matter in the next few days, we will update this article. So, stay tuned with us.
Update 1 (May 19)
03:34 pm (IST): It has been almost half a year since this issue was first reported and fresh user reports (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) are still coming in.
It appears that the problem with sound and haptic feedback on Apple Watch isn’t resolved even after multiple updates.
