[Updated] Fortnite 'Crew Legacy Set' items not unlocking or cannot be redeemed, issue acknowledged

Fortnite is one of the most popular Battle Royale games on the planet. Developed and published by Epic Games, the title has more than 350 million monthly active players, making it one of the biggest video games of all time.

But as is the case with any popular game, players are no strangers when it comes to bugs such as the recently reported tactical sprinting issue where players were unable to slide or build since the character was taking out a gun instead.

And as if that wasn’t annoying enough, Fortnite players are now reporting (1,2,3,4,5) that ‘Crew Legacy Set’ items are not unlocking.

Many say they were to receive Legacy Crew Pack items a few days ago but haven’t been able to redeem them until now. Below are a few reports from Fortnite players complaining about ‘Crew Legacy Set’ items not unlocking.

Is this a bug? (Not unlocking Legacy reward) So i have been a crew subscriber for months and mine now renews on the 20th april but my legacy for this month didnt unlock even though im still an active subscriber and it even says it should unlock on the 15th at 1am. Today is the 16th? HAs this happened to anyone else? I dont mind waiting, but usually this month i would cancel now until June and get the battle pass in with the next monthly pack but at the same time i would like to fully unlock the legacy items

The crew pack says my next billing date is the 20th of April, i was on during item shop reset today, and the last style of the crew legacy pickaxe and backbling are still locked, i was playing stw during item shop reset is that was caused this? I have gotten a few of the crew packs late when i dont play fortnite but this one doesnt make sense since i was playing during item shop reset.

Thankfully, Fortnite developers have commented on the matter and said they are aware of the issue where ‘Crew Legacy Set’ items are not unlocking for many. However, there is no timeframe on when it will be fixed.

We are aware that the progression styles for the Crew Legacy Set items are not being granted correctly. We will update you when the issue is resolved.
