[Updated] Apple Music down, not working or shows 'Resource Unavailable' error? You're not alone

New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on December 14, 2022) follows:

In the music streaming services segment, Apple Music is one of the most well-known names. It is also a favorite among Apple device users thanks to how it seamlessly integrates into the ecosystem.

Apple Music is available from the web version and apps for both iOS and Android devices. Recently, users of the service received their annual ‘Replay’, although it was not working correctly for some.

However, currently Apple Music users are unable to enjoy their favorite songs as the service is down or not working, just showing a ‘Resource Unavailable’ error.

Apple Music down, not working or shows ‘Resource Unavailable’ error

According to multiple reports, most of the Apple Music song catalog is unavailable at the time of this writing due to users getting a ‘Resource Unavailable’ error message.

i updated my phone and now apple music isn’t letting me play any single song it just says “resource unavailable” people literally pay so that they can listen to music what is apple doing

Apple music dont play play.. fix your problem ASAP! @AppleMusic fix the resource unavailable

As iOS 16.2 stable just arrived, some users think that the problem is because of the update. However, it seems to be a problem on the Apple Music servers side.

iOS 16.2 has completely broken Apple Music on my iPhone X. OK, I don’t get the new ‘sing’ feature, but most of the time, songs won’t play at all. Just get ‘resource unavailable’. Other streaming music apps are fine.

Downdetector also reflects the growing reports related to the ongoing Apple Music outage:

There is still no official word on the issue from the Apple team. We will update this story as events unfold.
