Xbox achievements not unlocking or broken for multiple games? You're not alone

However, currently Xbox achievements are not unlocking for players on Xbox consoles across multiple games (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12).

Achievements are unlocked when the player meets certain goals set by the game developers. These challenges vary in their ranking level, so can be either very easy or extremely difficult.

Players also get points that are added to their player profile by unlocking achievements. A high profile score is usually a sign of an experienced player.

The achievements in video games also offer the player a constant sense of progress that sometimes the game itself does not grant. This encourages them to continue playing to progress through the game or earn more achievements.

The birth of achievement systems also brought ‘achievement hunters’. These are basically players looking to get as many achievements as possible to maximize their profile score, and they do so through any game.

That said, according to multiple reports, Xbox achievements are not unlocking for players on Xbox consoles across multiple games (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11).

Has anyone else run into an issue with achievements not unlocking (starting this afternoon)? I have tested a few games, but no achievements are popping. Have restarted the console a few times, and internet connection is fine.

Achievements for Fallout 4 not unlocking.

I am playing Fallout 4 off of Gamepass on my Xbox Series X. Everything has been fine, however, I now can’t seem to unlock achievements. When I downloaded the game yesterday, I unlocked two achievements just fine, however since then there has been nothing. I know for a fact that I have fulfilled the requirements for several achievements, but they will not appear.

At the moment, there is no official acknowledgment on the issue from the Xbox team. So, affected players will have to wait longer to find out when the situation will return to normal.
