New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on April 28, 2022) follows:

Developed and published by the Finnish gaming studio that brought us Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars is a 3v3 multiplayer game that was released in December of 2018.

Apart from the standard 3v3 PvP mode, it also features several other modes. Players can choose from different characters called Brawlers, with each one offering a unique skill set.

Like Battle Royale games, Brawl Stars also offers a Brawl Pass that rewards players with tokens, gems, skins, coins, and pins amongst other things.

And while the game is pretty stable, some updates introduce glitches that affect the gameplay experience in a negative manner.

Having said that, Brawl Stars players are reporting an issue with Surge where his Star Power is activated if he dies when using his new gadget and using Serve Ice Cold ability (1,2,3,4,5).

Surge’s first gadget is glitched and broken. When one uses their gadget as soon as match starts with zero upgrades and the star power ice cold, if they die while gadget is still active they will keep their first stage. While I understand why this happens supercell should fix this because it’s like giving a free permanent stage with the temporary upgrade. (Im not saying this because I’m mad, it just seems like so much good in one gadget, his second too)

New Surge Bug. If you die while having surges new Power Surge Gadget activated and are using Serve Ice Cold you will automatically respawn at upgrade level two, if it runs out you will not. I think that he shouldn’t be upgraded at death but this is probably a bug.

Thankfully, the Brawl Stars game lead Frank™ (FS7N) has shed some light on the matter and said the developers are aware of the Surge bug resulting in Star Power activation.

They also said that a fix is underway but did not share any ETA on when the problem will be resolved.

Also, we’re aware of a bunch of smaller bugs here and there, including the open issue with Surge’s gadget and a bunch of smaller issues connected to the new bans in ranked modes. We’re working on addressing these issues as fast as possible. ❤️ #brawlstars #quest #botdrop
