Battlefield 2042 missing Weekly Mission issue to be resolved in the next update (workaround inside)

Battlefield 2042 (also known as Battlefield 6) is the latest installment in the franchise of tactical FPS games from Electronic Arts.

The game arrived in October of last year (2021) and is available on both current and previous generation consoles, as well as on Windows OS devices.

Battlefield 2042 includes Weekly Missions among its multiple game modes. These special challenges offer rewards to players who complete them.

However, according to multiple reports, the current Battlefield 2042 Weekly Mission is missing from the menu for many players (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12).

Apparently, neither the current Battlefield 2042 Weekly Mission nor the progress made appear in the in-game menu.

Oi @Battlefield, I still can’t see my weekly mission progress ingame, also are you sure that you mean rush mode? Would be the first time that we would have to play on a portal mode.

For some players, the weekly challenge was present for a while, but then it suddenly disappeared, with no apparent explanation.

The Week 19 “Farstrike” Skin unlock is bugged. It has disappeared from the main menu, and cannot unlock it. It shows 1/3 Progress from the 1 match before it disappeared. Others in the game are bugged as well when I asked.
–How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
–Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Open the game, the weekly mission is not in the menu Also if you click on the little sign on the main menu, it doesnt go anywhere.

It’s worth pointing out that some players managed to resolve the issue by contacting the EA support team. The request for the resolution of the problem must be made through this form.

After playing another 4 rounds of Rush with another 100 kills; have spoken with EA Support, and they have unlocked it for me.

As annoying as the game is, and some of the decisions EA makes, at least their customer support reps have always been excellent to deal with.

The EA team is already aware of the issue and is investigating. A fix will arrive in the next Battlefield 2042 update.

Update: we’re aware some of you still aren’t seeing the Weekly Mission menu in-game.

We plan to resolve this in the next game update.

You can still continue progressing towards the weekly challenges and unlock the reward.

EA also confirms that players can still progress through weekly challenges, but progress will not be displayed in the menu.
