[Updated] Fortnite skin physics not functioning properly after v20.20 update, issue acknowledged
New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on April 22, 2022) follows:
Fortnite is the most popular battle-royale game today. Epic Games usually send constant updates with new content, balance adjustments and bug fixes.
A few days ago, Fortnite received the v20.20 update with some changes. However, it seems that the update also brought visual issues that affect the physics of the game.
Fortnite v20.20 update ‘broke’ some skin physics
This update ruined Tsuki 2.0 and the foundation physics
Before Tsuki’s hair used to flow around naturally, now its stiff like its a part of her body, it used to look wonderful while shes sprinting now it looks terrible. same with foundation’s cape.
Why do they keep breaking skins? Can we just have the skins at the same quality we got them? You’d think with all the stiffness they keep adding to the skins they’d fix the horrible cape physics for Dr.Doom and Thor but they don’t.
Anyone else notice how the skin physics are all wrong after the recent update?
What happens is whenever I load into Fortnite everything looks fine but right after I load into a match the physics on my skin are all wrong. Take Tsuki 2.0 for example everything looks fine on her when you first load up the game but after loading into a match her pigtails are stuck to her arms and don’t even move like at all.
While the glitch does not occur in all Fortnite skins, there are many skins that experience it. Fortnite players have found some of the affected skins:
Epic broke the physics of several skins in today’s update v20.20
To name a few:
•Wonder Woman’s Lasso and clothes are broken
•LoserFruit’s hair is broken
•Cammy’s hair is broken
•Foundation’s Cape is broken
•Jules hair is broken
Epic Games investigating the issue
The Epic Games team is aware of the issue and is investigating. However, there are no details on an ETA for a fix yet.
We’re investigating an issue with some physics no longer functioning properly on several Outfits as of v20.20.
We’ll provide an update when we have more info.
We will keep our eyes open for new events on the matter that arise to update this story.
