New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on April 26, 2022) follows:

Fortnite is one of the most famous video games of all time. Developed by Epic Games, the Battle Royale title has millions of daily active players worldwide.

It also has a mobile version available known as Fortnite Mobile. That said, the game crossed $1 billion in lifetime player spending just two years after its release, something which even AAA titles often fail to do.

But players often encounter bugs and issues such as the broken or missing 90FPS option on the OnePlus 9 series.

Now, Fortnite Mobile players are reporting (1,2,3,4,5) that the game is crashing or freezing after Chapter Season 2 update. The problem seems to be angering many since they are reportedly losing credibility and matches every now and then.

Players say the crashing and freezing issues have made the game unplayable. Generic troubleshooting solutions such as reinstalling the game and clearing app data and cache do not seem to help much with the problem.

3 times now in the past 2 weeks or so my game has frozen and crashed in the middle of a match. I play on a samsung tabs6. Idk what causes this, and would really like to know more so it doesn’t happen in FNCS and Cash cups. Twitch wouldn’t let me clip for some reason so here is a link https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1447516939?t=0h21m56s

usually not one to point issues out, but since last update, android has felt off. two major issues have stood out in the last week, being: crashing (screen/graphics/look broken, game freezes so forced to exit app) these issues usually don’t matter as much and are tolerable, but have been happening to the point where the game has become unplayable. From a competitive standpoint, crashing creates a MAJOR disadvantage, as I am unable to play out all 10 games in tournaments due to 2-4 games getting the crash bug (kicking me out of the match, and counting the match as a game played)

Unfortunately, Fortnite Mobile developers (Epic Games) are yet to acknowledge the crashing and freezing issues that surfaced after Chapter 3 Season 2 update.

We hope they soon shed some light on the matter and fix it as soon as possible since the game is completely unplayable in its current state for those affected.

Until then, we will be keeping an eye out on the matter and update this article as and when we come across more information so make sure you stay tuned to PiunikaWeb.
