DC Legends players unable to collect 'Reward 7' (4 shards), issue acknowledged

DC Legends: Fight Super Heroes is a strategy RPG mobile video game developed by Warner Bros. Players have to make a Super Heroes and Super Villains team battle against Nekron and the Manhunters.

The title has more than 130 DC characters to collect from and features various iconic DC locations such as Atlantis, Metropolis, and STAR Labs. Released in 2016, the game generated a revenue of $200k until March of 2022.

It also lets players indulge in PvP events with their friends and features various weekly events such as Blitz, Showdown, Arena, and Siege tournaments. Players can also collect daily and weekly rewards that help them level up their characters for improved stats and new Super Powers.

That said, DC Legends players are now reporting (1,2,3,4,5) that they are unable to collect ‘Reward 7’ that gives them 4 shards. In case you are unaware, the 7th free reward can be claimed by watching advertisements.

But players say they have watched the advertisements many times but are unable to collect the reward. Generic solutions such as restarting the game, clearing data and cache, and reinstalling seem to make no difference at all.

Odd lil Bug (Ad Video Rewards) This is the second day in a row that i have been unable to earn the final video reward (the 4 shards). instead, after watching the ad, i’m given a message telling me the rewards are unavailable. everytime. anyone else happen to relate?

Okay, so I’ve now watched adverts over 10 times trying to get my last rewards, the one for 4 shards. Every single time, the video plays (always Lumber Inc, or Goblins, if that counts… given Lumber Inc had problems the other day). Every single time, it tells me the reward is not available, and to try again later. It then shows the ‘AVAILABLE’ box for that 7th click again… so, I guess they’ve benefited in me, and probably 100/1000s others, all trying to get their 7th Reward multiple times – multiple ad-clicks! How about actually giving us our reward?

Thankfully, DC Legends developers have commented on the matter and said they are aware of the issue where some players are unable to collect Reward 7. But there is no ETA on when it will be fixed.

In the meantime, DC Legends players who are unable to collect Reward 7 can try the workaround below to collect the final reward. But be warned that Tapjoy can potentially ban your account if you use this method.
