[Updated] NBC Sports viewers report app not working or facing streaming issues

NBC Sports is a part of the NBC network that deals with sports broadcasts. It is owned and operated by the NBC Sports Group division of NBC Universal.

If you are into sports then the NBC Sports app can be very useful for getting the latest news for all global and regional sports. Users can stream their favorite sports, watch highlights, and set alerts for upcoming matches directly from the app.

However, lately, many users are reporting streaming issues with the NBC Sports app. Users say that the app is not working for them. And those affected have taken to Twitter to raise their complaints (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

Here are some reports for reference:

Hey @NBCSports what’s up with the app? This happens on @Roku as well. How are we going to watch the @SpursOfficial game?? #PremierLeague (have already tried signing out and refreshing/restarting) (Source)

So is every single @NBCSportsSoccer app down right now? Can’t watch #TOTBHA on phone app, roku or fire stick. (Source)

Opened in chrome on my laptop and was able to cast to my TV. App on phone and android TV were both having issues. (Source)

Users say that the app is completely down and they are getting an error message when trying to open it. The message reads ‘Oops something happened, please close your app and try again’.

And while the website seems to be working perfectly fine, it appears that the app on iOS and Android is having some serious issues.

Also, there is no workaround available for this behavior at the moment. That means users will need to wait until devs fix it.

Unfortunately, the support team hasn’t yet acknowledged this outage with the NBC Sports app and we hope that it gets resolved soon since users are unable to stream on the app.
