Original story (published on April 11, 2022) follows:

Developed by EA Mobile and Firemonkeys Studios, The Sims FreePlay is a free-to-play version of The Sims. It was released on iOS in December 2011 followed by the Android version coming out in February 2012.

The Sims FreePlay allows players to create and customize up to 34 Sims and build their homes. It also features several quests along with some optional missions.

Over the years, the game has garnered more than 500K downloads and generated a net revenue of somewhere around $600k worldwide.

But as is the case with recent games, players do encounter technical glitches every now and then. That said, The Sims FreePlay players are now reporting (1,2,3,4,5) that Facebook login is not working.

Many say they are getting ‘App not setup: The app is still in development mode, and you don’t have access to it. Switch to a registered user or ask an app admin for permissions’ error message.

Players say they have tried generic solutions such as relaunching the app, restarting their devices, and reinstalling the game but nothing seems to help. You can see in the image below what the error message looks like.

I have been logged out of facebook, and I can’t log in again. When I click connect with facebook I’m getting a weird message in the fb pop up saying “App not configurated: the app is under configuration and you do not have permission to access. Change to another test user or ask an app administrator for access.” Before even getting the opportunity to enter login info for my fb account. I was logged in with facebook just earlier today and I have no clue to why I was logged out or why I can no longer access the log in window.
