New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on April 14, 2022) follows:

Escape from Tarkov is one of the few realistic multiplayer games in the Battle Royale niche. The title also indulges in regular server wipes, which means everything you have scoured before the wipe will be lost and players will have to start from scratch.

That said, many recently complained about ‘Server connection lost’ error resulting in disconnection from matches while others are still awaiting a fix for the broken air filter issue.

Adding to the list of issues, Escape from Tarkov players are now saying that the latest update has caused scopes to get blurry. Many say enabling DLSS worsens the problem and makes them borderline unusable.

The problem seems to be angering many since they are unable to clearly see enemies when aiming down sights. Some have tried tinkering with graphic settings, disabling DLSS, and increasing resolution scaling but nothing seems to help at the moment.

Here are a few reports from Escape from Tarkov players who say they are unable to play the game because of blurry scopes.

It seems like since the most recent patch has released when you aim down a scope it is significantly less clear to see. Was the intended purpose to make players eyes worse or just encourage use of Bifocals in order to snipe in Tarkov?

I’m guessing so. There used to be a fps drop when I would scope in on Woods for example and now that’s somewhat gone, which is good. However the quality has taken a MASSIVE hit to the point where I have a hard time making out what’s what and it just looks blurry as hell. Honestly I’d prefer taking that 10-15fps dip and having the better quality while being scoped in.

Thankfully, Tobias Solem, the Senior Community Manager at Battlestate Games commented on the matter and said the devs are working on a fix. However, there is no ETA on when it will be fixed.

Hey! It’s a known bug. Devs are working on a fix.
