Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is an FPS action game that takes place in the same universe as the successful Borderlands franchise. In fact, the game is the direct successor to Borderlands 2 Tiny Tina’s Assault DLC.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands inherits the gameplay mechanics of previous games in the saga. It also adds some novelties and maintains the particular graphic style of the franchise.

That said, some players are experiencing an annoying glitch during end-game challenges. Apparently, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Chaos level is not increasing or rising after completing chaos trials.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Chaos level not increasing

One of the main aspects of Borderlands saga games is looting. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands also offers hundreds of new weapons, armor and items to discover.

Looting doesn’t end when completing the campaign, as the game also includes an end-game system: Chaos Mode.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Chaos Mode presents various high difficulty challenges or trials where the player must demonstrate the experience gained during the game’s campaign.

Of course, completing the Chaos trials will reward with rare items and weapons. After completing a certain number of Chaos trials, the player levels up a Chaos level to continue progressing.

However, according to multiple reports, a Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Chaos Mode bug causes the players’ Chaos level to not increase (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

Chaos level not increasing?

Why do I sometimes complete a chaos trial and not have the option to go up a rank afterwards? This has happened to me twice now.

I just completed 13, beating the Dragonlord at the end. Everything finished normally, I got my loot, and check the menu afterwards and can’t rank up to 14.

Anyone else encountered this or know what’s going on?

Chaos Levels not increasing

I did the chaos trial run and unlock chaos levels. I then ran a trial back to back 3 different times with no increase in chaos levels. I tried normal, and the curated run. None of them have increased the chaos level. What am I doing wrong?

The explanation of the bug, a potential workaround

Apparently the game is thinking that players are completing Chaos trials at a lower level than required to progress.

There is a bug where it doesn’t properly choose the Chaos level you are on. Since you can only rank up if you complete the trial on your highest available chaos level, this bug causes the game to think you completed it on a lower level.

However, there is a potential workaround that reportedly helps resolve the glitch:

When you are talking to the Dragon Lord to choose what Chaos dungeon you want to do: Navigate away from the Trial (like to the featured run) and then back to the trial option. I had this happened to me and figured out this was the solution.
