[Updated] Lego Star Wars 'Deluxe Character pack' issue where players only receive Classic pack acknowledged

If you are a Lego and Star Wars fan, chances are pretty high you must have heard about the recently released Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga video game.

Developed by Traveller’s Tales and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, it is the sixth installment in the franchise. The game features all nine films in the Skywalker Saga.

Released yesterday, the game features dozens of levels and hundreds of characters. Those looking forward to collecting every vehicle and collectibles should expect a play time of somewhere between 75-90 hours.

That said, people who recently bought Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Deluxe Character Pack are now saying (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) that they are getting the Classic Pack.

It looks like the remaining characters are showing up as purchasables in the store. The problem seems to be angering a lot of players who spent the extra money just so they could use any character right away after they bought the game.

Here are some reports from Lego Star Wars players who received the Classic Pack characters despite buying the Deluxe Character Pack.

Character Collection code not working for PS5. Hey guys, I live in Australia and just picked up the Skywalker Saga Deluxe on PS5. I used the code it came with, but it only unlocked the Classic Characters. Everything else is still locked behind paywalls. anyone else having troubles with this or found a solution?

Downloading issues for Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga. I received my preorder for the deluxe version of the game today and downloaded it, but when I put in the redemption code it only downloaded 2 of the 7 character dlc packs. Was there an error on my part or is this due to the game not officially being released until the 5th? Anyone else have something like this happen and should I call support or wait and see what happens on the 5th? Thanks!

Many said they felt cheated and were wondering how they could unlock the rest of the playable in-game characters without paying more.

Thankfully, WB Games Support has commented on the matter and said that they are aware and investigating the issue where players are getting the Classic Pack instead of Deluxe Character Pack.

12:26 pm (IST): WB Games support on Twitter now says players already received 2 packs on the launch date, while the remaining 5 packs will arrive later.

01:25 pm (IST): The Deluxe Edition players can now access the Character Collection bundle pack. And they will be available for players on the following dates.

03:20 pm (IST): Some players are now reporting that the game is asking them to buy the content even when they have the deluxe edition.
