NiceHash is one of the most popular cryptocurrency mining platforms available. NiceHash allows you to use your GPUs or mining rigs to earn profits in the form of tokens.

However, currently many are unable to use the mining platform. According to multiple reports, NiceHash is down or all the shares per user are getting rejected (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12).

Social platforms like Twitter and Reddit are full of reports on the matter. It seems that many NiceHash users are unable to continue mining cryptocurrencies with their hardware (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

I feel you bro, hopefully this gets a fix asap! and we get compensation for it. this is reason why i suggest we track local progress or solving successfully as a buffer during network outages, so we can upload later when network resumes.

but in this day in age, Nicehash should have the resources to have redundant network access as to not have a single point of failure

Turn off the mining rigs

At this time, the most recommended thing is to turn off the mining rigs. After all, no shares are being validated for NiceHash users. So, there is no point in keeping mining rigs or GPUs on.

Guy, if no share are validated, what’s the point to mine ? You can mine… Everything other than ethash on nicehash. You could mine kawpow on nicehash, or mine eth without nicehash or even any other coin without nicehash. Perso, I have choosen to mine ravencoin without nicehash

A NiceHash share is basically a result of the mining process. The approval of the shares will allow to maintain the proper functioning of the blockchain network, confirming the transactions.

Currently, keeping mining rigs or GPUs on will consume power unnecessarily and reduce hardware lifespan.

NiceHash team already aware

The NiceHash team is already aware of the issue and working on a fix. However, there are no details on an ETA for its deployment yet.
