Minecraft Bedrock pink glitch (textures or blocks turn pink) issue persists a year later, still no fix in sight but there're some workarounds

Minecraft is a sandbox survival and construction game originally developed by Mojang. Currently, the game is owned by Microsoft, although it is still available on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch consoles.

Minecraft encourages players to unleash their creativity by creating entire worlds through a building system full of possibilities.

The game is available in two versions: Minecraft standard (or ‘Bedrock’) and Java Edition. Both versions differ basically in performance, mod support and platform availability.

That said, there is a recurring issue in Minecraft Bedrock that has been around for at least a year.

According to multiple reports, Minecraft Bedrock players are facing a glitch where textures or blocks randomly turn pink (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

Apparently Minecraft Bedrock textures or blocks are suddenly ‘bugged’, turning pink (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

For whatever reason, my custom bedrock skin’s shirt is completely pink, no matter which one is equipped. Even the Alex and Steve shirts appear pink.

Have they addressed this issue? Eventually, at least when joining on Minecraft servers, everyone, many blocks, and sometimes even the UI will turn a bright pink color. No way to get rid of it unless you restart and even then, it’ll still come back. It happens to me on both PS4 and Windows 10.

In addition, the issue in question has been present for a long time, since there are related reports from over a year ago. The cause of the problems seems to be the RenderDragon rendering engine.

At the moment, there is no official acknowledgment on the issue from the developers. However, there are some potential workarounds that reportedly help resolve or mitigate it.

First, the most basic workaround is to restart the game when the glitch appears. However, it will happen again eventually.

A more complex option for players on Windows 10 is to install a version of Minecraft that does not include RenderDragon rendering engine:
