Hulu app on Xbox requires login details every time it's opened (account gets logged out), issue acknowledged

Hulu is one of the most popular TV, movie, and series streaming services available thanks to a wide selection of channels and its affordable subscription price.

Hulu is available on many platforms, devices, and even consoles. Xbox consoles (including the Xbox 360) are among those with a dedicated Hulu app.

However, many Hulu app users on Xbox are facing issues related to the login system in recent days (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

More specifically, the Hulu Xbox app is experiencing an ‘account logged out’ issue where the service is requesting login details every time it’s opened (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7).

According to multiple reports, many Hulu users on Xbox are being logged out every time they close and reopen the app.

Is anyone else having the issue where hulu logs out every time you close it? Started last week where I have to sign in each time I open it. Had to resort to watching thru tv or ps4 now. I prefer xbox tho. But hulu is unusable right now due to the constant logging out. Please fix!

The issue reportedly started some days ago, and not even a complete uninstall and reinstall of the Hulu app helps solve it.

I use the Hulu app on the Xbox One X and up until a couple of days ago it worked normally for me but now it’s requiring me to log in every time I open the app. Why does it keep logging me out? I’m the only person who uses this account.

Service: Hulu with ads

Steps taken: removed/logged out this device from my account, cleared the cache on my Xbox One X, uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

The Hulu support team is already aware of the issue that many users are facing on the dedicated Xbox app. Currently, the company is working on it, but there is no estimated arrival date for a fix yet.
