Discord users report app crashing on Android devices after every few minutes
Discord arrived in 2015 as a new free instant messaging service that quickly became popular especially with gamers.
Discord offers many possibilities thanks to its server-based operation with separate chat, voice and video channels. For instance, it is often used by streamers to communicate with others while gaming.
The service is available through web browsers, desktop clients (Windows OS, macOS and Linux) and dedicated apps (Android and iOS).
However, currently many Discord app users on Android are facing an annoying crashing issue that prevents them from using the service.
Discord app crashing constantly on Android devices
@discord hey! I woke up this morning in a call with a friend but seemingly discord keeps crashing after about 2 to 10 minutes. I reverted back to standard discord and even did a fresh install but nothings working mind telling me what’s up? (I’m on discord mobile Samsung GS10).
No no no. I’m not hacked. I’ve taken multiple measures to make sure that doesn’t happen. I still have my account for now. It’s just the fact that my discord keeps crashing. And multiple other people are having the same problem. Thanks anyways.
Many reports agree that the Discord Android app crashing issue occurs approximately every 3 minutes.
@discord Please for the love of god fix your Android app, the app crashes after less than 3 minutes of use after a network access, stop with the broken a** networking please!!
Could be a server-side issue
It’s worth pointing out that Discord Android app received an update recently. However, the issue could be on the Discord side as the service was working properly until a few hours ago.
Mobile app keeps crashing suddenly
I am going insane. Everything was working fine all day every day now suddenly the app crashes like 3 times in a row and then its fine for a minute. I have tried clearing data and cache, reinstalling, restarting my phone, you name it. Any advice? Is it Discord having issues or what?
I’m on the S10+, recently got a phone update last night but Discord was still working fine all day until now.
Also, the complete uninstall and reinstall of the app does not help to resolve the issue either.
There doesn’t seem to be a workaround that helps mitigate the crashing issue. There is also no official acknowledgment on it from the developers.
