Doogee will soon be adding another phone to its existing S-series. Often known for its ruggedness, the latest from Doogee is the S98. It features a night vision camera and a unique Dial rear display.

Apart from being eye candy, the rear display is customizable and can be used to control music playback, check the time and battery status.

The phone features Mediatek’s Helio G96 SoC which is clocked at a speed of 2.1 GHz. It is backed by 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card.

Users can experience stutter-free performance thanks to the powerful octa-core Media chipset.

The hardware is complemented by an impressive 6.3-inch LCD Full HD+ primary display with a waterdrop notch. Adding to the ruggedness, the front screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

Coming to the camera, the front snapper is a 16MP sensor by Samsung that should suffice for those looking to take selfies or use it for video calling. The rear of the phone features a triple camera setup.

It comprises a 64MP main sensor accompanied by a 20MP Sony IMX 350 Night Vision Camera and an 8MP wide-angle camera. For those looking forward to taking pictures in dark environments, it is a real treat since the sensor is capable of taking photos in the pitch dark.

As for the software, the phone comes with Android 12 out of the box with the company offering at least 3 years of Android version and security updates.

It also has an IP68/IP69K and the standard military MIL-STD-810G certification that makes sure the phone works even in extreme environments. Some other connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and a Dual SIM slot.

The company says that the Doogee S98 will be available on sale starting March 28 and can be picked up on AliExpress starting at 12:00 AM PT.
