Destiny 2 offers multiple game modes, with ‘Gambit’ being one of the most popular. Destiny 2 Gambit is a competitive mode where two teams of four players face off in a race to defeat a boss first.
However, many players are facing issues with weapon balance in the mode. Apparently some Destiny 2 weapons like Eriana’s Vow and others are overpowered in Gambit (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11).

According to multiple reports, weapons like Eriana’s Vow are breaking matches in Destiny 2 Gambit mode due to being overpowered. Apparently, Eriana’s Vow can defeat opponents with a single shot.

Yes, I understand it’s temporary, but the damage glitch made it broken af.
If you’re not gonna fix the glitch within a week or two just remove Eriana’s. Right now it’s a weapon that one tap to the body from insane range and is completely busted while invading.

Destiny 2 players find it neither fun nor fair that a weapon with those capabilities is ruining matches.
I really hope Bungie has a good reason for why they’ll quickly disable Telesto when it breaks something in pvp but are dead silent when it comes to Erianas vow breaking gambit.
Bungie please fix gambit with a revert and if you can’t do that please disable Erianas and remove the heavy ammo crates and heavy ammo from high value targets. It’s not fun having someone with almost 5+ rockets going into every invade

However, some players suggest that the problem is not the weapons. The problem seems to be that the Gambit game mode is broken, directly impacting the damage that weapons can deal.
Because it’s not just Erianas. Damage scaling for invasions in Gambit is FUBAR, so they’re likely trying to push to a patch for everything instead of trying to triage by disabling every weapon in the sandbox for gambit.

Bungie is aware, the fix will arrive in a future update
Fortunately, the Bungie team is already aware of the issue and working on a fix. The fix rollout will begin next Tuesday (March 22) according to a Bungie Senior Community Manager.
