Wyze is one of the most popular wireless camera manufacturers. The start-up was formed by ex-Amazon employees in 2017. Apart from wireless cameras, the company also makes other products such as bulbs, plugs, locks, and bands amongst others.

But as is the case with every other app, users have complained about several bugs and glitches such as notifications not working after the latest app update and motion detection not working randomly.

And according to recent reports from Wyze users, it looks like the sprinkler schedule function is not working as intended. Many say that the issue surfaced after the v1.0.4 firmware update.

The problem seems to be frustrating users with many saying they would return their controllers. Some said they tried resetting the wiring and reinstalling the app but nothing seems to be helping.

I cannot seem to figure out why my sprinklers arent working. I submitted a ticket last week(2 accidentally), no response so i figured i’d try here. I just came from a working rainbird without wifi 8 zone. No master pump The setup worked fine, i think… The zone would turn on for a second, i would say try again and it would run consistently. Not sure if that is a failed setup or not, i tried it again after a full reset and removal, did the same thing. The schedule online or offline seems to just turn them on for just a second.

As some others have posted I am also having issues with the sprinkler controller. It functioned as expected for time and I believe it was after a firmware update it started having issues. Whether scheduled or run manually the controller will turn on a zone for about a second and then trun it off and it is like it deletes the instance immediately. Unplugging the controller will remedy this for a short time and then the behavior returns. I have checked and rechecked everything I can, disabled skips, you name it. I hope this post helps bring more attention to the issue and a remedy can be found.

Thankfully, it looks like Wyze developers have already found a fix for the sprinkler schedule not working issue and said they are currently testing it. However, there is no ETA on when the bug will be patched.

In the meantime, users can try using a temporary workaround that might help fix the problem. It involves choosing the ‘it wasn’t running’ option when doing zone tests.

Not sure if it help but I deleted everything and reset it. When doing the zone tests, each zone would start then stop immediately. But If I selected it wasn’t running it would come on and stay on for each zone. Once I tried running a zone or set a schedule it defaulted back to one second runs
