Smite is one of the most popular multiplayer online battle arena games on Steam. Similar to DOTA 2 and League of Legends, it also features various PvP game modes.

It lets players control various gods and goddesses and also includes several mythological creatures. Coming to the esports scene, Smite also hosts a million-dollar championship every year.

Developed by Titan Forge Games, it uses Unreal Engine 3 and has several pantheons to choose from, each with its unique abilities. Unsurprisingly, bugs and glitches do surface every once in a while

Having said that, Smite players are now reporting (1,2,3,4,5) that they are getting stuck on the post-game status screen. This is making it impossible to go back to the main menu or leave the lobby.

Many are frustrated and complain about having to restart the game altogether after every match. A bunch of players tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game but it looks like that did not help.

Here is what some Smite players stuck at the post-game screen have to say about the issue.

I can’t leave the postgame stats screen.
Xbox. After every match i have to restart the game in order to get back to the main menu. I can continue queuing for the same game type, but I’m trying to knock out all of the FWOTD and it’s incredibly frustrating to have to close and reopen the game after each match. Is this a known problem or should i take the time and send a bug report?

I have this after every single match on xbox one. The game literally will not let me go back to main menu after match. I have to press start go to settings and log out. I will try the profile then back but still it really does hinder what I can do/see post match. Will this ever be fixed

Unfortunately, Smite developers are yet to acknowledge the issue where players are stuck in the screen that pops up post-game.

Thankfully, we came across a workaround that might help you fix the glitch so you don’t have to restart the game after every match. It involves going to the Profile after the post-game screen shows up and heading over to the menu from there.

A work around I found was to go to your profile then back out from there (Xbox) less time consuming than fully shutting down and restarting

We hope the developers soon find out the root cause of the issue and fix it as soon as they can, since many are restarting the game after every match.
