Shopify is a popular platform that allows you to create your own online store without any programming knowledge. It is a very useful tool to help increase the online presence of your business.

Shopify also has a dedicated app for mobile devices (Android and iOS). The app allows you to manage your store, track orders, check statistics and more.

However, Shopify app users have been experiencing issues with widgets on iOS devices for a couple of weeks (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7).

More specifically, the Shopify widget is currently missing for many users on 15.3.1 and iOS 15.4 Developer Preview (DP).

Shopify widget missing or disappeared for iOS 15 users

Multiple reports on platforms like Reddit and Twitter describe the same situation. The Shopify widget has been missing for many iOS 15 device users for a few weeks now.

Shopify widget for iOS not available

Hi. I guess since I have updated to iOS 15 I cannot find the Shopify widget anymore. I have reinstalled the app but still nothing. Any other people with this problem?

Shopify app widgets

Hey I have a small question? I’m using shopify app on iOS and I use to watch my website stats through the widget. I can’t find shopify widget anymore what’s happened ?

That said, the behavior of the Shopify widget has always been erratic for some iOS users. So, it doesn’t seem to be the most stable widget you can use.

I’m not sure why this is always happening but the Shopify widget never seems to be fully functioning, some days it works, some days it doesn’t… Weird, now it doesn’t even show on the Widget list.

Shopify team is already aware

The Shopify support team confirmed that they are already aware of the issue. The company is investigating about it to have a fix ready as quickly as possible.

Hey, there! Thanks for your question! We’ve received reports of the widget disappearing on iOS devices using versions 15.3.1 and 15.4. Our developers are looking into the cause, and are actively working on a fix. We hope to have that lovely widget back for you soon!

The Shopify support team also confirms that the issue is happening specifically on iOS 15.3.1 (stable) and iOS 15.4 (DP) devices.

However, there is still no information on a specific arrival date for the expected fix.

This is all that is known about the matter at the moment. We will update this story once new related events arise.
