Minecraft is one of the greatest video games of all time. The sandbox title was released in 2011 and is developed and published by Mojang Studios.

With more than 140 million players worldwide, Minecraft is going strong even after a decade, thanks to the developers frequently updating the game with new content.

But like every other online game, players encounter some bugs and glitches every once in a while. That being said, Minecraft account migration seems to be not working or failing for many (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10).

Players say they are getting an ‘Oh no something has happened’ error message whenever they try to migrate their accounts. It looks like many were trying to migrate their accounts during the weekend since the deadline is set to March 10.

Below are some reports from Minecraft players complaining about the account migration not working.

I’m trying to migrate my mojang account to minecraft before the required date, which is March 10th, and when I go through the process to link it to my microsoft account it ends up to a screen that says, “OHHH NO…. Something went wrong… Please try again or contact support if the problem persists.” I’ve tried making a new microsoft account to link to, but it still leads to that message. This is very frustrating because I want to continue playing with my friends without having to worry about this anymore.

I recently saw that the “deadline” for account migration was the 10th, so I decided to finally do it. So, I followed the steps, but once I verified the email, and chose an account, I ended up with a nondescriptive error message, saying “Oh No Something went wrong… Please try again or contact support if the problem persists. I tried again, and it did not work, and there doesn’t seem to be anything in the support about this, and I can’t find any posts about this. Has anyone experienced this, and if so, how have you fixed it?

As it turns out, Mojang seems to be aware of the issue where Minecraft account migration is not working and said they have resolved the underlying problem. However, players will have to wait a while before the fix is implemented.

We are aware that some migrations during the weekend were incorrectly processed. We have fixed the underlying problem, however impacted players will have to wait a little longer for a fix before migrating again. Update will follow – Ined

09:49 pm (IST): Mojang, through its status updates Twitter handle, has now confirmed that the account migration issue has been resolved.
