Developed and published by ArenaNet, Guild Wars is one of the most popular MMORPGs of all time. Set in the fictional realm of Tyria, the game was released back in 2012 and has been going strong ever since.

It follows the rise of Destiny’s Edge, a guild dedicated to fighting the Elder Dragons, a species that have a grip over Tyria since the Guild Wars took place. The game offers a unique experience in the sense the storyline is not linear and is responsive to player actions.

That being said, players do come across some glitches thanks to the developers frequently updating the game with new content in the form of expansion packs, balance changes, and cosmetics.

And according to recent reports from Guild Wars 2 players, many are unable to start the PoF (Path of Fire) quest. It looks like the issue surfaced after the recently released End of Dragons update.

Some say they tried generic resolutions like relaunching the game and restarting their PC but to no avail. Below are some reports from Guild Wars 2 players who say that the PoF quest is bugged.

Um, @GuildWars2 hey I’m experiencing a bug where I can’t get the instance to trigger on the Path of Fire Prologue, Sparking the Flame. I can’t get past “Board the Airship.” I’ve tried changing maps, logging out and even closing the game. Nothing.

I’ve been trying to start PoF to unlock mastery on my first lv 80, which means doing the quest “starting the flame”. I’d gone to my journal and started the quest, spoke to the captain and she tells me to board her airship but when I approach the air ship, nothing happens. From what I’ve seen from YouTube videos of people completing this quest, I’m just meant to walk up to the airship, receive an update to the quest, and then walk to the nearside door of the airship which will progress the quest. a few others and myself have been running all throughout the airship and talking to every possibly character but it seems to not be working for anybody.

Unfortunately, Guild Wars 2 developers (ArenaNet) are yet to acknowledge the issue. However, those who want to just get over the quest can ask players who can start it and progress in the story.

We hope they soon find out the root cause of the issue and fix the Path of Fire quest as soon as possible.
