If you are a gamer, chances are pretty high you have heard about Fortnite. With millions of daily active players, it has become a phenomenon. But apart from the Battle Royale we all know and love, it also has a coop mode.
Developed and published by Epic Games, Fortnite: Save the World is a third-person PvE shooter tower defense game where zombie-like creatures attack humans.
Having said that, Fortnite Save the World players are now reporting (1,2,3,4,5) that Destroyed Beds are not counting towards Venture Challenges.
As a result, many are unable to complete the Destroy Good Morning and Sleep on it task from Venture Challenges and Blockbuster Questline respectively.
Players say no matter how many beds they destroy, the progress percentage does not change, which is really frustrating. You can see in the image below how the challenge progress is stuck for some.
So I just started a new alt account and am grinding my way through Ventures (again lol). I finished this quest on my main account no problem. But now it is not working at all on my alt. None of the beds are showing up on the minimap as a yellow exclamation mark. And if I destroy them they do not count. I have tried multiple beds in multiple missions and it isn’t working. Did the quest become bugged in the most recent update? This is the first quest in that questline, so it is not locked to a certain PL zone. It is just “destroy beds,” period.

Venture quest “Destroy: Good Morning!” don’t works. I’ve tried destroying the beds on mild meadows and the quest never get’s the completion. The bed doesn’t summs at being destroyed. I’m playing on PC on Epic Games.

On further investigation, we found that the bug is not limited to the particular challenge with players suggesting that other Venture Challenges might be affected as well.
Taking a look at the Fortnite Trello board, it looks like the developers are investigating the issue where Destroyed Beds are not counting towards Venture Challenges.
While they did share a workaround for the Blockbuster questline, it looks like players will have to wait a while before they are able to complete the Venture challenge.
As always, we will update this space once Epic Games patches the bug so stay tuned. In the meantime, make sure you check out our Fortnite bug tracker to see similar issues affecting players.
