[Updated] Sea of Thieves players getting Dawn Hunter shirt instead of Twilight Hunter shirt, issue gets acknowledged

Developed by Rare and published by Microsoft Studios, Sea of Thieves is a unique open-world experience that lets players navigate the world using pirate ships.

Since it also features a multiplayer mode, players are bound to come across each other quite often. They can either form alliances, go to war with each other or simply ignore.

The game was released in 2018 and is one of the first games to come to the Xbox Game Pass. As of October 2021, it had more than 25 million players worldwide.

The developers frequently update the game with new content and missions. However, these updates often result in some bugs such as the one where the 4th journal in Shrine of Coral Tomb was bugged for some.

And now, Sea of Thieves players are reporting (1,2,3) that they are getting the Dawn Hunter shirt instead of the Twilight Hunter shirt in the Twitch drop. Many are disappointed since they were waiting to collect the outfit for a long time.

So I, and many other people who wanted to receive the Twilight Hunter shirt have apparently not received the elusive shirt. I was wanting to know if anybody has actually received this shirt, or if anybody in the past has had this problem and whether it got fixed for them or not?

Got wrong twitch drops
I was watching twitch streamers on 20.2.2022 to get the twillight hunter shirt, obtained it and in my inventory appeared the dawn hunter shirt, even though i cant purchase any other dawn hunter clothes as i have not yet completed the plundered prizes grade III commendation. Is there any way to get the twillight hunter shirt, or am i just screwed now? I already submitted a support ticket but dont have much faith that they will fix it.

Thankfully, Sea of Thieves Info and Support has acknowledged the issue where players are getting the Dawn Hunter shirt instead of the Twilight Hunter shirt.

The developers are currently looking into it but did not share any ETA on when it will be fixed.

The team are aware of the reports regarding yesterday’s Twitch Drop and the correct Twilight Hunter Shirt not being awarded. We are currently looking into it and will provide an update when we can.

09:35 am (IST): The issue with players getting Dawn Hunter shirt instead of Twilight Hunter shirt is now resolved.

Sea of Thieves support has confirmed that players will find the correct Twilight Hunter Shirt in their clothing chest when they log in next time.
