New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on February 23, 2022) follows:

Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming services available. Like other similar services, it is available on many platforms.

Spotify has a dedicated app for mobile devices, both Android and iOS. However, lately Spotify users (iOS) have been facing some issues.

It seems that the ‘and more’ button is not working properly in the Spotify iOS app if you use a free account.

Spotify iOS app ‘and more’ playlist button not working for free users

The ‘and more’ button in the Spotify app allows you to view the entire list of tracks in a created playlist. Normally, the button works on all types of accounts regardless of whether they are free or premium.

However, currently the ‘and more’ button is not working as it is not doing anything when you tap on it in the Spotify iOS app if you use a free account (1, 2, 3, 4).

The and more button does not work anymore on the mobile spotify app, even on my own created playlists. I undownloaded and redownloaded the app and it still doesn’t let me click the button, making it very frustrating to update my own playlists.

As of this week, I can’t open my playlists, I can still shuffle them and listen to the songs but I can’t open my own playlist, when I click on the “and more” part where it lists a few songs, it won’t open, meaning I can’t delete songs from my OWN playlists

I already can’t open albums to see what songs are in them because that changed to a premium feature. If I can’t open my playlist to delete songs because that’s a premium feature, the app is completely useless for people without premium…

Spotify team is already aware

The Spotify team is already aware of the issue as they confirm through their support forums. The company also points out that Spotify Android app is not affected by the glitch.

We’re receiving contacts from users on iOS, who are using the free experience of Spotify and are unable to tap “and more” to see the list of tracks when viewing a playlist. So far, this seems to not be affecting Android users or users with Premium subscriptions.

Thanks for reporting this issue to us. We’ve passed your info on to the relevant team, who are currently looking into it.

The company is investigating the problem, but there is no information on an estimated arrival date for a fix.
