[Updated] Fire TV Stick 4K Max frozen on start up page or stuck on loading screen issue escalated for further investigation

The Fire TV Stick 4K Max is the most powerful TV dongle available in the Amazon catalog. The device has more power and features compared to previous models.

In addition, the device receives continuous support with constant updates that bring improvements and performance tweaks, although sometimes they can also bring issues.

In recent days, some Fire TV Stick 4K Max devices have been experiencing performance issues. More specifically, the devices freeze or get stuck on loading screen (1, 2).

According to multiple reports, some Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max users are facing an issue where the device gets stuck on the loading screen, during the boot process.

Fire TV Stick stuck on logo and wont boot

model (S3L46N) bought and registered 7 months ago will no longer boot and is stuck on the logo.

I have left plugged in for 48 hours, tried different TVs, tried to put into safe-mode with keyboard and am using the original charger.

The other problem is less severe, but noticeably affects the performance of the device. This is a freezing issue that is frustrating some users while navigating the interface.

Hello guys, i have a brand new Fire TV Stick 4K Max.

Constantly freezes no matter what I’m doing. I have a great wifi mesh system, updated. I ended up buying an adaper so could use ethernet directly. Tried absolutely everything, cleared cache and data and factory reset. I mainly use Plex from my Synology NAS.

So far I would say the device is absolute piece of garbage. I’ve looked at other forums and there are many thousands of the same reports. Does anyone have any idea please?

The freezing issues do not go away even after a factory reset, according to reports.

There are other problems that started after the most recent update for the Fire TV Stick. These include cluttered UI, lag, loss of contact with the connected TV, false error messages, etc.

The Amazon team is already aware of the issue where the device gets stuck on the boot screen. The company is looking into it, but there is no ETA for a fix yet.

On the other hand, there is no official acknowledgment from Amazon about the performance issues yet. We will update this story if there are any updates on the matter.

06:43 pm (IST): According to some fresh reports (1, 2, 3), the issue where Fire TV Stick is stuck on loading page is still bothering a section of users.

05:15 pm (IST): According to an Amazon Staff member, the team is aware of the issue and is currently working on a resolution.
