[Updated] Apex Legends bloodhound kill tracker gets reset or does not work, issue acknowledged
New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on February 11, 2022) follows:
Apex Legends is a popular battle royale game that came out in 2019. It is available on Windows OS devices and older generation consoles (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One).
Apex Legends uses a free-to-play format that expands its accessibility to more people. Like other similar games, its developers usually send new content and challenges.
An example of the above is the bloodhound event that unlocks new rewards upon reaching a certain number of kills in the game.
Apex Legends bloodhound kill tracker gets reset for some
Some players are facing a bug that causes the bloodhound kill tracker to reset or reduce the counter. This seems to happen suddenly and without explanation.
Season 11 kill tracker reset
Do more people have issues with season 11 kill tracker? I was at around 200 kills on Bloodhound and it’s now gone back to 11 (the same amount as I have season 11 wins for some reason). My kills per season combined are also not the number of total kills I have.. More people have this and/or have the solution?
The issue in question also causes some players’ items, currency and even settings to be reset to default. In the case of Apex coins (the currency of the game), these reportedly disappear completely.
My game suddenly got reset in a weird way I need help
Yesterday I was playing for a bit and suddenly I couldn’t access the battle pass and my apex coins and everything were reset to 0, when I tried playing again I could only pick from the starter legends, I have invested a lot of money into this game and I would appreciate some help, Thanks in advance.
The possible reason for the problem
The issues could be happening due to the Apex Legends system confusing season 11 stats with season 12 stats. This means that the game ‘takes’ some kills obtained in season 11 and adds them to season 12.
However, this only explains the loss in the amount of kills from the Bloodhound tracker. There is still no explanation for the disappearance of Apex Coins and the reset of the player’s settings and items.
EA is already aware and working on a fix
