[Updated] Assassin's Creed Syndicate visual glitch on PS5 gets acknowledged, but there's still no ETA for fix

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is one of the best games in the franchise. Developed by Ubisoft Quebec and published by Ubisoft, it was released back in November of 2015.

The main storyline takes players back to London in 1868 at the onset of the industrial revolution. It improves on its predecessor and features improvised combat as well as some stealth mechanics.

That being said, PS5 players say a visual glitch is causing flickering and making it hard for many to play Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Many are angry with the developers and wondering why such an issue exists in a game that was released back in 2015.

Hello, I have just read all the comments and I have to say this answer is quite disappointing. I know that when PS5 launched they said what games would be playable with and without errors. Even Ubi said that Syndicate would have problems when running on PS5. What is sad is that a huge company as UBI don’t patch this problem that also occured in the PS4 pro (was patched there) with the excuse of being old game, while many indie developers updated their games to make sure it would run smoothly in the PS5.

I’m experiencing the same issue as noted above. I completely get that with it being an older game there’s no plans to do an update and that it may have some issues, however the issue that all of us are talking about could cause people to have unexpected seizures and puts peoples health at risk. While there is a warning at the start of the game about how some lighting effects could cause these, that doesn’t cover an error like this because it is completely unexpected and not a part of how this game is intended to run. I’ve played through it on the ps4 and now want to play it on the ps5, but I can’t because of it.

If we take a look at the complaints, the visual glitch was first reported back in August 2021 and has been affecting players ever since.

Thankfully, Ubisoft Support has acknowledged the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate visual glitch on PS5 and said that it is currently under investigation. However, there is no ETA on when it will be fixed.

06:58 pm (IST): According to the description on the PlayStation store, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate may exhibit some errors and unexpected behavior. Also, some PS4 features may not be available.

Moreover, the Ubisoft support has assured the players that the team is aware of the graphical issues and is investigating them.
