Total War: Warhammer III crashing & stuck on copyright screen issues officially acknowledged

Total War: Warhammer III is a real-time strategy game that came out recently as the latest installment in the iconic Total War series.

Total War: Warhammer III challenges the player to command large armies made up of creatures and units of all species. The combats are full of possibilities thanks to the unique characteristics of each unit.

However, the game isn’t having the most polished launch possible. Some early players of Total War: Warhammer III are facing a set of issues that prevent them from enjoying the game.

More specifically, Total War: Warhammer III has crashing issues, multiplayer problems and is getting stuck on the copyright screen for some.

The crashing issues present in Total War: Warhammer III cause the game to be unplayable as players facing it cannot even access it or cannot progress beyond a certain point (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12).

Total war 3 was a massive letdown

Started a tnzeetch campaign and it was good up until turn 13 (about the same thing happens for everyone I try)when my CPU turned into a jet engine. past that my game just crashes. performance seems to be random and lowering settings makes it worse. The games fantastic but for me and other people its unplayable.

The issue can appear in the course of the campaign or just after the loading screen, according to the reports (1, 2, 3, 4). However, the developers confirm that they are aware of it:

Playing through Gamepass can’t do multiplayer with my Steam Friends

I’ve got Warhammer III on xbox game pass PC but can’t seem to join my steam friends games (via invite codes) and vice versa. I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue? or not?

Among the reports is a potential workaround (screenshot above). It consists of joining someone on a separate platform from the host and waiting in the lobby search menu until the name of the game appears (may take 1-2 minutes).

There is also another multiplayer issue that causes a crash when trying to start a co-op campaign. For this glitch there is also a potential workaround that could help resolve it.

The workaround consists of changing the profile photo to one of the ones offered by the system by default:

There appears to be a problem with how your profile picture is loaded if you have a custom one. Worked for me and my brother, previously we were both crashing to desktop on the multiplayer lobby in the menus and on the odd chance we could get in it would then happen when manual battle initiated.

The third issue causes Total War: Warhammer III to get stuck on the copyright loading screen for some players (1, 2, 3, 4).

In this case there doesn’t seem to be a workaround that helps resolve the situation. However, the developers are aware of the glitch and are investigating about it.
