World War 3 was released in 2018 as a new multiplayer game for the tactical FPS segment. It is currently available for Windows OS devices.

Some World War 3 players have been facing an annoying issue that doesn’t allow them to access the game’s website for weeks now. This limits many of the features and possibilities in the game.

However, it seems that the problem with the World War 3 website is not the fault of its game developers (The Farm 51) or the players. There is also a workaround that could help mitigate the issue (1, 2, 3, 4).

World War 3 website permanently not working for some

The World War 3 website is a hub where players can check their profiles, stats, edit their characters, and even transfer items to the game.

The issue prevents some players from doing the above as the website gets stuck in a loading dark green screen for them (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10).

This means that the affected players are unable to do things as important as claiming items they have won or bought. The problem occurs both on the desktop and on the mobile version of the website.

The cause of the issue and a potential workaround

The Farm 51 is aware of the problem and they found the cause of it. Apparently some ISPs (such as Xfinity) have the World War 3 website blocked at server level.

The above means that the developers cannot do anything on their part to make this issue definitively fixed.

It appears that some users from Xfinity and a few others ISP integrating their own website blocks and VPNs can have some issues loading the website.
If your ISP is Xfinity, please check your app to remove any potential block on the website.

Fortunately there is a potential workaround that can help you access the World War 3 website. Basically it is recommended to use a VPN to bypass the ISP block.

To permanently resolve the issue, it is also suggested that the player request their ISP to remove the World War 3 website from their ‘blacklist’.
