In recent days, some Hunt: Showdown players have been facing an issue that directly affects the use of one of the available tools during matches.
More specifically, there is a glitch that makes a bear trap unable to be set or placed correctly. Apparently, just after arming the bear trap, it disarms, for no apparent reason.

According to multiple reports, the problem started from the arrival of the most recent update of the game (v1.7.2).
From there, when Hunt: Showdown players affected by the bug set a bear trap, everything seems to go smoothly, as the progress bar reaches the end without issue (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10).
However, after the process is complete, instead of setting the bear trap on the floor, the character just drops the item (as if swapping the item for another).
So I see they broke traps with this update
I literally couldn’t trap up a compound with the bear traps lying around because everytime I would go to place it it would complete the animation and then pop out of my hands and be behind me. There’s also that old bug where dropping items causes them to vibrate all crazy.

Placing bear traps taking multiple tries
In trios, were securing the solo boss pit at night. Was butcher at ironworks. The whole team was trying to place beartraps at entrances, and it was a 1 in 3 chancie it would actually place?
Like the progress bar (circle?) Would fill up, and then the trap would just be dropped as if we had swapped weapons.

Bear traps not deploying.
About 50/50 when i try to deploy bear traps they instead fall on the ground. Once this happens it keeps happening for some while. It usually stops when I use other traps. It started with the last update (1.7.2) never occured before.

Crytek team is aware, fix in works
Fortunately, the Crytek team is already aware of the glitch in Hunt: Showdown that affects the placement of a bear trap. Currently, they are working on a fix that will return everything to normal.
However, there is still no estimated arrival date for the mentioned fix. So, for the moment, players can only wait for new updates related to the matter to appear in the near future.
