If you are into digital media players, you must have heard of the Amazon Fire TV lineup. Developed by Amazon and manufactured by Foxconn, these devices enable users to stream audio and video over the internet to TVs.

But as is the case with every product released in the last few years, Amazon Fire TV is also susceptible to bugs and issues. Having said that, last year, users reported that the Disney+ app was not working for them.

And now, many Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max users are reporting that they are unable to get past the Disney+ app page. Some say they are getting an error message that says that the app is unavailable.

It looks like Apple TV is affected as well. Device owners say they tried reinstalling the app and clearing data and cache but nothing seems to resolve the issue.

Seems to install but does not get past Disney+ page. Cleared Cache, Data, uninstalled and reinstalled, rebooted modem and router, etc. but never gets past this point. Sometimes get error code 142 or 42 or just spinning on 5GHz or 2.4 GHz wireless. Even reset Fire TV Stick to factory default and updated again and only loaded the Disney+ app but no luck. In the Fire TV settings network screen, pressing the Play/pause button on the remote shows signal strength very good; Channel 10 quality very good, Connected to the internet.

Disney + worked on my Fire TV Stick but I have upgraded to the 4K and 4K max and I have tried 3 different Fire TV Stick and remote options as suggested online. I have updated the internet and added stronger service. Whenever I try to open up the app it gives me an immediate message that says app is unavailable.

Thankfully, it looks like Amazon is aware of the issue and said that they are working on fixing the Disney+ bug on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max. However, there is no ETA on when it will be fixed.

Hello @RonSmith, and welcome to the Forums! I’m sorry the Disney+ app isn’t loading on your Fire TV Stick 4K Max. Our technical team is aware of the issue and is working on a resolution. I’ll update this thread as soon as a resolution is available. Thank you for your patience!

But this is not the only problem affecting Fire TV users. Recent reports (1,2,3,4,5) from Fire TV users suggest that many are facing an issue where their devices are stuck on the Fire TV logo with a black screen.

This is preventing many from using their Fire TV. You can see in the image below how it looks like for some.

As soon as my Fire TV Stick turns on its stuck on the Fire TV sign.
It’s not stuck as its moving but it doesn’t move past this stage and no matter what I do, it doesn’t change.

Unfortunately, Amazon is yet to say anything on the matter, so it still remains unknown how long users will have to wait before the issue is resolved.

As always, we will be keeping an eye out on the issues and update this space as and when required so make sure you stay tuned.
