New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on January 31, 2022) follows:

Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming services out there. It is available on many platforms, which has greatly enhanced its expansion.

In addition to its availability, the success of Spotify is also due to its ease of use and the additional options that allow users to improve the experience when listening to music.

Like other music streaming services, Spotify allows you to create playlists (manual and automatic). But, the service adds an additional possibility to this feature: blend playlist.

As its name suggests, the blend playlist feature allows two users to combine their playlists on Spotify. However, according to multiple reports, this feature is having issues in recent days (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

Spotify Blend playlist invites system not working

When a Spotify user wants to blend a playlist with another user’s, they must send an invite. Once the other user accepts it, the process begins.

But, according to multiple reports, when users try to accept the blend invite, all they get is a ‘Blend not found’, ‘Something went wrong’ or ‘Link has expired’ error message.

I have been trying to utilize the blend feature on spotify, however, none of the blend invites are working. I have tried using new invites, I did a clean uninstall, I updated my iphone. No matter who I sent an invite to or invite i receive, and we try to join, it always says “Blend not found”. I keep my app open, I tried not leaving it open, but nothing seems to work.

When trying to accept link by following the link generated by Blend feature it errors out with “Something went wrong. Please try again.” Both profile pictures are visible on the screen, both users used blend before and had 2 playlists each. How can this be fixed? Seems like account issue, since it’s happening on both ends.
